Oliver Romeo is a 3-year-old Pitbull who has been part of our family since September 2024! While he first came in for a daycare evaluation, he had a pretty tough time and wasn’t able to complete it due to being very nervous around staff and the new environment.

Despite his nerves, Oliver quickly formed a special bond with one of our pet care specialists, Mike. On his very first day, we were all amazed to see Oliver sitting on Mike’s lap, soaking up all the love and attention!

After his initial evaluation, Oliver began dayboarding for a few weeks to help him acclimate and grow more comfortable. During this time, Mike made sure to visit him often, which Oliver absolutely loved. With patience and consistency, Oliver gradually gained confidence and was soon able to start half days in daycare with Mike by his side.

Before long, Oliver was joining group play—both with the littles and larger dogs—and truly enjoying time with his new furry friends. As his confidence grew, so did his comfort with the rest of our staff. He eventually transitioned into full daycare days and began spending time in groups with multiple handlers.

Today, Oliver is the silliest, sweetest boy! He loves treats, listens well, and has built wonderful friendships with both dogs and staff. Whether he’s running and bouncing around with his pals or taking a break to soak up some affection, Oliver is always a joy to have with us.

We are incredibly proud of how far Oliver has come and truly believe he is so deserving of this title.
