Elizabeth’s dream became reality in 2007 when she opened The Good Dog Spot, after working with animals for almost 10 years and being involved with the ABKA (American Boarding Kennel Association) Board of Directors. The Good Dog Spot provides pet parents with peace of mind that their dog or cat is safe and well cared for when they can’t be with their family.

Staples has recently taken her professional education to the next level by becoming a Certified Professional Animal Care Operator (CPACO). With the certification, Staples has demonstrated her comprehensive pet care knowledge and passion for pet safety.

Owner of the Good Spot, a pet boarding and grooming facility, is now certified as a professional animal care operator. “We always dreamed to be the trusted home away from home for pets and in a time and place when people put a lot of emphasis on their care and safety it seems like a no-brainer,” said Elizabeth Staples, owner of the Good Spot in Chicopee and Northampton.
Doggy daycare in Chicopee to offer puppy program

Good Dog Spot, a doggy daycare and grooming facility is now welcoming the smallest of dogs by bringing their Spots Tots program to their Chicopee location. The facility which offers boarding, grooming and dog daycare services at their Northampton and Chicopee locations for years is now bringing Hampden County residents the option to enroll their puppies in a unique program.
THE GOOD DOG SPOT TO HOST ANNUAL YAPPY HOUR EVENT ON DEC. 7
The Good Dog Spot, with locations in both Chicopee and Northampton, is hosting its annual Yappy Hour event and will be donating the proceeds to Rainbow Rescues and Thomas J. O’Connor Adoption Center. This dog- and family-friendly event will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. at 35C North Chicopee St., Chicopee.
Good Dog Spot to remain open, taking precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19

CHICOPEE, Mass (WWLP) – The Good Dog Spot in both Chicopee and Northampton will remain open but will continue to clean, disinfect and help prevent the spread of COVID-19. According to a news release sent to 22News from the Good Dog Spot, due to the information from the CDC and WHO, pet animals such as cats and dogs cannot be infected with the coronavirus.
