STAFF IS FULLY TRAINED AND QUALIFIED

All new staff members undergo extensive training, including mastering detailed “Knowing Dogs 101” and “Hands on Training”. These training classes ensure that all of our staff members know how to assess body language, vocal cues, and play styles of each dog to ensure a fun and safe environment for everyone. All of our staff are CPR and First Aid trained as well. 

DAYCARE EVALUATIONS

Before your dog starts attending daycare with us, we set up an evaluation visit. Our goal is to assess whether it’s a good fit. Your dog will take in the sights and smells of the daycare environment in a room before meeting other pups, one by one, to get an idea of their temperament and socialization skills. 

WEBCAMS

Want to be able to check on your dog throughout the day? We have webcams in all of our daycare rooms. You can sign up for the webcam service at any time. The webcam feature gives you the peace of mind and insight into your dog’s experience with us. 

SIZE AND TEMPERAMENT GROUPS

In order to make sure everyone is safe and comfortable, we group our dogs based on their size and temperament. This means that you don’t have to worry about your smaller dog being paired with larger breeds. If you have a puppy who recently graduated from our Spot’s Tots program, rest assured that they will only be grouped with dogs who play well with puppies.

DAILY REPORTS

We know your dog’s interests, personality and schedule are important to you. At the end of each day, our Good Dog Spot team sends you home with a full report of everything your dog did and enjoyed. These daily reports keep you engaged and informed.

THREE STRIKES POLICY

To ensure everyone is safe, we have a Three Strike policy for negative behavior. If a dog exhibits aggression or other behavioral issues, we give them three strikes before asking them to leave our program. All of our staff are trained to look for and intercede in any potential conflicts. We want all of our dogs at The Good Dog Spot to have a fun and safe time.
